Sheikh Zayed Academic Chair

The Arabian Gulf University (AGU) hosts the academic chair of His Highness the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in the field of Environmental Sciences. The chair was established in the academic year 1997/1998 and was initially funded for three years. In July 2003, a cooperation agreement was signed between the university and the Zayed Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works in the United Arab Emirates

King Hamad Academic Chair

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, established a chair in his name at the Arabian Gulf University in the field of e-learning in October 2012.

Sheikh Isa Academic Chair

The Arabian Gulf University (AGU) hosts the academic chair of His Highness the late Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, in the field of Technology Management, starting from the academic year 1994/95.

King Fahad Academic Chair

The Arabian Gulf University (AGU) was honoured to host the chair of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the late King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in the field of Health Biotechnology since 1997/98 AD, with a donation of (1,500,000) one and a half million Saudi Riyals, to spend on academic activities from the grants of the chair.

Sultan Qaboos Academic Chair

The chair was established at the Arabian Gulf University in October 1994, due to the importance of desert farming in the GCC countries, under the directives of the late Sultan Qaboos. The chair is considered the third Omani chair to be established among sixteen academic chairs in various international universities under the supervision of the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science.

Sheikh Hamad Academic Chair

The Arabian Gulf University (AGU) has hosted the Academic Chair of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani in the field of Geographic Information Systems since 1997. The chair’s funding amounted to (5,155,630) five million one hundred and fifty-five thousand six hundred and thirty Saudi Riyals. Several professors have supervised the chair since its inception, including: Prof. Mohamed Belaid (2000 - 2012), Prof. Abdul Razzaq Bennari (2013 - 2015), Dr. Sabah Aljenaid (2016 to date).

Sheikh Jaber Academic Chair

Since 1997, the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences at Arabian Gulf University has hosted the academic chair of His Highness the late Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah, former Emir of the State of Kuwait, in the field of clinical microbiology and immunology, with a generous grant amounting to (9,375,000) nine million three hundred and seventy-five thousand Saudi Riyals.

Advanced Research Training Program Organised by College of Education, Administrative and Technical Sciences Concludes at AGU

The Learning Difficulties and Developmental Disabilities Programme at the College of Education, Administrative and Technical Sciences in cooperation with the Department of Special Education at Arabian Gulf University (AGU), organised a training programme titled “Foundational Workshop for the Advanced Research Seminar” for PhD students. The training programme is part of a broader plan to enhance the research proficiency of PhD students.

Final Exams Begin for the Tenth Batch of the Water Management Diploma at AGU

The final exams for the tenth batch of the Integrated Water Resources Management programme began today at the College of Graduate Studies at Arabian Gulf University (AGU). The programme is implemented by the United Nations Educational Centre for Water Resources Management in the Arab Region. The tenth batch for the academic year 2024/2025 comprises 19 male and female students, who are young Arab professionals working in the water sector, representing ten Arab countries, namely: the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the State of Palestine, the Syrian Arab Republic, the Republic of Sudan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Yemen.
