Prof. Yasin I. Y. Tayem

     Prof. Tayem is a Professor of Pharmacology and Therapeutics a the College of Medicine and Health Sciences a the Arabian Gulf University.  He earned his MD degree from Al-Quds University School of Medicine, Jerusalem, Palestine in 2001, and completed his PhD in Pharmacology at the University of London in 2006.  He began his academic career the same year as an Assistant Professor at Al-Quds University, later serving as Assistant Dean for Basic Medical Sciences.  In 2012, Dr. Tayem was awarded the prestigious Fulbright scholarship to conduct postdoctoral research at the U.S. National Insititute of Health (NIH).  The following year, he joined AGU, where he was promoted to Associate Professor in 2018 and Professor in 2024.  Since 2018, he has also served as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs.
