Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Karim Jaradat, a Jordanian national born in 1961, has carved a distinguished career in academia, particularly in the field of statistics. His academic journey began at Yarmouk University, Jordan, where he earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Statistics and Computer Science. Seeking to further his studies, Jaradat pursued a Ph.D. in Statistics from North Dakota State University, USA. His doctoral research focused on interval-censored data analysis, a complex statistical problem. Upon completing his Ph.D., he returned to Jordan and began teaching at Jordan University of Science and Technology for more than 12 years. Dr. Jaradat joined the Arabian Gulf University in 2009 and now he is Associate Professor in Biostatistics. Jaradat's academic career has been marked by significant contributions to his field. He has served as a faculty member at several prestigious institutions, including Yarmouk University, Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), and Arabian Gulf University, Bahrain. He has also held administrative positions, such as Assistant Dean, Chairman of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and head of Assessment Unit at Arabian Gulf University. In addition to his academic pursuits, Jaradat has actively engaged in various professional activities. He has served on committees, presented at conferences, and mentored students, fostering the development of future generations of statisticians. His contributions to the field have had a lasting impact, and his legacy as a dedicated educator and researcher continues to inspire others.
