The University Medical Centre of the King Abdullah Medical City has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Dar El Oyoun Eye Laser Centre, aimed at facilitating joint surgical procedures to be performed by Dar El Oyoun doctors at the University Medical Centre. The agreement seeks to improve the quality of eye surgery services provided to patients through collaborative efforts.
Through this partnership, the University Medical Centre will host various surgical procedures for eye diseases, benefiting from the specialised skills and extensive experience of Dar El Oyoun, which spans over a decade, alongside the medical teams at the University Medical Centre.

This collaboration reinforces the University Medical Centre’s commitment to delivering high-quality medical services, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care in the field of eye surgery. 

The agreement reflects the commitment of all parties to medical excellence and patient care, solidifying the University Medical Centre's position as a leading destination for surgical procedures in the region.
Dr Salman Hamad Al Zayani, CEO of the University Medical Centre, stated: "We look forward to collaborating with Dar El Oyoun through this agreement, which represents an important step in expanding eye surgery services, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care."
For his part, Dr Saad Al Khalifa, the Medical Director and General Manager of Dar El Oyoun, welcomed the collaboration with the University Medical Centre, emphasising that it will enrich medical services in eye surgery and treatment of various eye diseases, especially at a time when there is increasing demand for eye surgery in Bahrain and the region.
He affirmed that the field of ophthalmology has become one of the broad medical specialties, experiencing rapid and continuous developments, and that this collaboration with the University Medical Centre will lead to the best outcomes expected by patients.
