The Arabian Gulf University (AGU) took part in the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) 2025 Conference, held in the Thai capital, Bangkok, with the participation of leading figures and experts in medical education from around the globe.

AGU was represented at this international event by Prof. Omar Al Rawwas, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees and Secretary General of the Arab Board of Health Specialisations, along with Mr Khabab Abdulmoneim Al Haj, Director of Quality and Accreditation at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences.

The opening day of the conference featured the inauguration ceremony and the first plenary session titled "Educating Tomorrow’s Doctors", in addition to the official welcome reception. During these events, AGU representatives met with a number of academic and leadership figures, exchanging insights on enhancing the quality of education in medical and health professions schools.

AGU’s participation in this conference reflects its strategic commitment to the continuous improvement of higher education quality and medical and health professions education. It also underscores the university’s pursuit of alignment with international accreditation standards and the development of effective partnerships with global institutions in medical education.

AGU delegates are scheduled to continue attending a series of panel discussions and workshops that support the university’s efforts toward excellence and leadership at both regional and international levels.
