AGU President Discusses Strengthening Scientific and Research Cooperation with the Turkish Ambassador to Bahrain

His Excellency Dr Saad bin Saud Al Fuhaid, President of the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), welcomed Her Excellency Dr  Ayşe Hilal Sayan Koytak, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Kingdom of Bahrain. This meeting marked her introduction as the new ambassador.

During the meeting, His Excellency expressed his eagerness to enhance academic, scientific, and research collaboration between the two countries, aiming to expand the horizons of joint initiatives. He wished her success in her diplomatic duties.

The discussions covered several topics of mutual interest, exploring ways to strengthen cooperation between AGU and Turkish universities and research centres, particularly in higher education, scientific research, and innovation. The President also briefed the guests on the university's key academic programmes and initiatives focused on supporting creativity, innovation, and improving the quality of higher education.

For her part, Her Excellency the Ambassador expressed her gratitude and appreciation for AGU, commending its leading role in advancing higher education in the region and its innovative academic programmes. She praised the university's efforts in developing academic skills and promoting a culture of innovation, wishing it continued progress and prosperity.

Additionally, both sides discussed opportunities for academic exchange, activating twinning programmes, and student exchanges between AGU and educational and research institutions in Turkey.
