AGU PhD Student Earns International AI Driving Licence in the Health Sector

Noor Al-Naham, a doctoral student in the Department of Innovation and Technology Management at the College of Education, Administrative and Technical Sciences at Arabian Gulf University (AGU), has earned the International AI Driving Licence (IAIDL) in the health sector. This certification was awarded by the American Innovation Association in partnership with the University of Nevada, United States.

This advanced accreditation recognises expertise in AI and qualifies recipients to spearhead digital initiatives and employ AI technologies to enhance the efficiency and quality of healthcare services.

Professor Odeh Al-Jayyousi, Head of the Department of Innovation and Technology Management, expressed pride in this achievement, stating, "Our department is committed to equipping our students with future-ready skills, particularly in AI and digital technologies, which are key drivers of sustainable development in vital sectors such as health, education, and energy. Noor Al-Naham’s attainment of this licence affirms the excellence of our academic programs and reinforces the university’s role as a leader in research and innovation within the Gulf region.”

For her part, Noor Al-Naham commented, "I am delighted to have obtained this advanced accreditation, which marks a significant milestone in my academic and professional journey, given the global shift towards integrating AI into healthcare. I am grateful to AGU and my professors in the Department of Innovation and Technology Management for their continuous support."

Additionally, Al-Naham received a five-year membership with the American Innovation Association, in recognition of her research contributions to innovation and emerging technologies. At present, she is working on developing a system to empower healthcare workers through AI and simulation, in collaboration with Dr Reem Al Ansari, Director of the Clinical Skills Simulation Centre and Assistant Professor at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences.
