His Excellency Dr Saad bin Saud Al Fuhaid, President of the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), announced the continuation of the university's comprehensive development policy across various academic, construction, administrative, and technological sectors, launching a series of developmental initiatives at both academic and administrative levels.

The President stressed that this commitment aligns with the university's ambitious strategic plans, aimed at building upon its rich legacy of excellence in higher education and scientific research.

The announcement was made during a Ramadan ghabqa organised by the university at the Crowne Plaza Hotel last night. In the meeting attended by a large gathering of academic and administrative figures from the university, alongside several officials, consultant doctors, and members of the administrative staff from the University Medical Centre at King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Medical City, Dr Al Fuhaid affirmed that the university is working on the continuous implementation of developmental projects.

“These projects include enhancing educational curricula, expanding academic programmes, constructing service facilities, and improving infrastructure, as well as developing administrative systems and updating work policies through the adoption of modern technologies that enhance both academic and administrative workflows,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dr Al Fuhaid honoured 13 academic figures who have made significant scientific contributions in the fields of medical and health sciences or the College of Education and Administrative and Technical Sciences. He underlined that the honourees have played a vital role in supporting the university’s journey towards excellence. He also praised their valuable contributions to education and scientific research, enriching the academic community, and expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by all members of AGU family across all programmes and departments.

Furthermore, the activities of the Ramadan ghabqa received widespread acclaim from attendees, who engaged enthusiastically with the programme and entertaining competitions that accompanied it. They affirmed that such social occasions provide an excellent opportunity for communication and the exchange of friendly conversations in an atmosphere filled with love and gratitude for belonging to a prestigious institution like AGU.
