
AGU Holds Ramadan Majlis with Participation from Diplomatic, Academic and Community Leaders

His Excellency Dr Saad bin Saud Al Fuhaid, President of the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), recently received a group of members from the diplomatic corps, higher education sector, business community, dignitaries, doctors, academics and several prominent community figures from various fields, along with a number of students and alumni from diverse disciplines, during the University’s annual Ramadan majlis, which was organised by the University yesterday, providing a platform for the guests to engage in discussions on various academic, social and cultural issues.
During the event, Dr Al Fuhaid exchanged conversations with guests and emphasised that the organisation of the Ramadan majlis within the University’s premises aims to strengthen community communication and reinforce the authentic Bahraini and GCC traditions during the Holy Month. He noted that this gathering serves as an opportunity to share experiences, ideas and visions, thereby enhancing social bonds.
The President also expressed his admiration for the Ramadan gatherings in the Kingdom of Bahrain, considering them a beautiful social tradition that distinguishes Bahraini society and reflects its deep-rooted human and Islamic values based on love, brotherhood and respect, praying for the health and well-being of the leaders of the GCC member states.
For their part, the guests expressed their gratitude for this initiative, which enhances interaction and communication. They praised the University’s commitment to holding activities that contribute to building an active and connected academic community, highlighting its distinguished social role during this blessed month.
