Bio

Dr. Sameh Sarray, M.Sc., Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Medical Biochemistry at the Arabian Gulf University, Bahrain. She obtained her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and a Master’s degree in Genetic and Molecular Biology from the Faculty of Sciences, Tunisia followed by post-doctoral habilitation at the Pasteur Institute of Tunisia and the Faculty of Pharmacy in Marseille, France.  With over 22 years of academic experience, Dr. Sarray delivered extensive teaching in biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her research addresses molecular mechanisms of metabolic and endocrine disorders, notably type 2 diabetes and its complication, polycystic ovary syndrome, as well as the therapeutic potential of snake-venom proteins.  She has led and contributed to numerous funded projects, published widely in peer-reviewed journals. Her work bridges translational biochemistry and molecular medicine, contributing to advances in diagnostic and therapeutic biomarkers.
