Dr. Amani Bint Yousef Awaidah is an Assistant Professor of Blood Transfusion and Stem Cell Sciences. She currently serves as Director of the Princess Al-Jawhara Al-Ibrahim Center for Molecular Medicine, Genetics, and Hereditary Diseases at the Arabian Gulf University. Dr. Amani has held several leadership positions at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, including: Vice Dean for Scientific Research and Innovation, Vice Dean for Development and Community Partnership, Head of the Quality, Evaluation, and Testing Unit, Chair of the Respiratory Care Program Development Committee, and Secretary of the Strategic Plan at the College of Applied Medical Sciences. She also led the university field training development initiative at the institution level. She has alsochaired the Accreditation Committee for the Clinical Laboratory Program, which received the first unconditional academic accreditation for seven years in the Kingdom. She has also served as an independent reviewer for several academic programs at Saudi universities. She has published many scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals. She has received academic awards, most notably: a Certificate of Excellence from the Saudi Society for Genomics and Molecular Oncology, and an honor from His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom, as one of the top 50 scholarship students at a ceremony held at the Saudi Embassy in London.
