Students of Al-Shorooq Secondary Girls School learned about the academic programs and innovative specialisations offered by Arabian Gulf University (AGU) at undergraduate and postgraduate levels during an exploratory tour during which they visited the university's colleges and various departments. They learned about the Medical Skills and Simulation Centre, which offers continuous patient-focused training programs by creating a safe and integrated electronic simulation environment that guarantees exceptional training for students, doctors and healthcare specialists.
They also visited the Anatomy Museum of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, which contains real and plastic human cadavers, skeletons, and detailed models that explain the parts of the human body, helping medical students to accurately identify and diagnose various diseases. In the same vein, they learned about the problem-solving based education system, and the curricula that arm medical students with the necessary knowledge and professional skills for effective practice in the medical community.
They also learned about the nature of work in the Admissions and Registration Unit, which is one of the main units in the university, due to its direct connection to students and their scholarship destinations from the moment of their admittance and enrolment until graduation. They were informed of admission and registration requirements and the academic programs offered by the university's colleges. They also visited the university library and learned about its reserve of medical, educational, and technical books, as it provides sources of information for all scientific programs taught at the university.
