
Qur'an Memorisation Competition for Surah Qaf Concludes at the Arabian Gulf University with Participation from 65 Students

The Deanship of Student Affairs at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) organised a Ramadan Qur'anic competition for the memorisation of Surah Qaf, with the participation of over 65 students from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences.
A ceremony was held to honour the winners, under the patronage of His Excellency Dr Saad bin Saud Al Fuhaid, President of AGU. In his address on this occasion, he praised the memorisers of the Holy Qur'an and highlighted the role of the Qur'an in preserving the human spirit, guiding one's path and facilitating life's challenges. He described it as a beacon that illuminates hearts and serves as a guide for life.
The top five winners in each category were recognised. In the male students' category, the first place was awarded to Mr Naif Muflahi, followed by his colleague Mr Mohammed Buhazaa, who secured the first place jointly. The second position was claimed by Mr Bader Al Assousi, with Mr Youssef Al Kandari in third place, and Mr Abdullah Al Rashedi in fourth.
In the female students' category, Ms Fatima Hassan won first place, followed by Ms Amina Al Khaldi in second, Ms Fatima Al Kandari in third, Ms Latifa Abdullah in fourth and Ms Shaima Khalid concluding in fifth place.
The judging panel comprised a group of Qur'an memorisers who hold certificates of memorisation and recitation from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.
