His Excellency Dr Saad bin Saud Al Fuhaid, President of the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), has signed a strategic cooperation contract with Mr Waleed Kanoo, Director of Kanoo Information Technology (Kanoo IT), aimed at implementing a Student Information Management System for the university’s students of both genders. This advanced system is designed to facilitate the management of student information throughout their academic journey, from registration through to graduation, utilising the latest technologies.

During the signing ceremony, Dr Al Fuhaid emphasised the university’s ongoing commitment to holistically developing educational fields in accordance with cutting-edge technological systems that support the educational process, thereby enhancing the services provided to students. He noted that signing the contract with Kanoo IT aligns with the university’s ambitious vision to advance educational domains using modern technologies that enhance the learning experience.

He further pointed out that this project represents an essential step towards improving student services, in line with the university’s comprehensive strategy aimed at providing an intelligent educational environment that supports students at every stage of their academic studies. 

The President also indicated that this collaboration constitutes a new initiative that will create opportunities for partnership and integration between the academic and private sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain, through the implementation of a system that manages all information required by students in an accurate, rapid and user-friendly electronic application.

He added: “The execution of this project will enable the management of operations, procedures and student services from any location in a flexible, swift and secure manner, consistent with the university’s strategic development plan and catering to the needs and aspirations of our students from the GCC countries. This innovative project will provide numerous electronic packages and vital analytical reports that contribute to expediting the processes and services required by students throughout their academic journey.”

For his part, Mr Waleed Kanoo expressed his delight in collaborating with one of the most prestigious Gulf universities, which continually strives to enhance its educational environment using the latest intelligent systems. He indicated that the implementation of this innovative technological project will improve the academic process and provide academic support services to students, thereby facilitating administrative procedures and academic transactions, and enabling them to navigate their academic lives with ease and flexibility. This is particularly significant given Kanoo IT's extensive expertise in the field of IT solutions and enterprise networking to support educational initiatives.
