Arabian Gulf University Participates in a Meeting of the Secretariat of the Committee of Deans of Deans’ Offices, Colleges, and Community Service Centers at Universities and Higher Education Institutions in the GCC Countries, Held in Riyadh

Dr. Afaf Mubarak Bughawa, Director of the Arabian Gulf University Center for Consultancy and Training, participated in the 30th meeting of the Secretariat of the Committee of Deans of Deans’ Offices, Colleges, and Community Service Centers at Universities and Higher Education Institutions in the GCC countries, hosted by Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting was attended by the Acting President of the University, Her Excellency Prof. Fawzia bint Sulaiman Al-Amro; the Director of Education at the General Secretariat of the CCG, Dr. Abdullah bin Juma Al-Shaqsi; and representatives from universities and higher education institutions across the CCG.
During the meeting, participants discussed best practices and successful experiences among Gulf universities in the fields of community service and training, as well as addressing common Gulf societal issues, developing high-quality training and qualification programs, advancing digital infrastructure, strengthening cooperation and knowledge exchange, and promoting a culture of volunteerism.

In a speech delivered during the meeting, Her Excellency Dr. Fawzia bint Sulaiman Al-Amro, Acting President of Princess Noura University, emphasized that “the meeting reflects the depth of the shared Gulf presence, where priorities align within a single developmental path that strengthens partnership, fosters integration, and creates a sustainable impact,” noting that “the meeting reflects a shared ambition to build an advanced model for responsible community engagement, in which the roles of Gulf universities are integrated as platforms for generating development solutions and enhancing quality of life.”
For her part, Dr. Afaf Mubarak Bughawa, Director of the Arabian Gulf University Center for Consultancy and Training, affirmed that “the meeting constitutes an advanced academic platform to enhance integration among Gulf universities and develop joint community programs, thereby strengthening their developmental role and community services in the GCC countries.”
She added that “Arab Gulf University is committed to actively participating in Gulf meetings and forums, believing in the importance of exchanging expertise and integrating experiences, and opening channels for ongoing consultation with academic institutions in the GCC countries, thereby contributing to the development of joint initiatives and enhancing institutional performance.”
The meeting’s agenda included several topics, such as a brief introduction to each university, a visual presentation on Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman University, and discussions among the participating universities.
