     Dr. Tabbara is an establishing member of the College of Medicine, having joined in 1984 when he returned from University of Texas Medical Branch, where he was engaged in research for 2 years. In the years since joining he has been involved in curriculum design, teaching, research and administration. The College curriculum, which is problem-based was designed by AGU's faculty members, including Dr. Tabbara, in university's early years, with guidance from other leading problem-based schools. As a tutor and resource person in his discipline, Immunology, he enjoyed teaching and interacting with medical students. Dr. Tabbara has been involved in decision-making at the university, having been Chair and member of a multitude of committees, Vice Dean, Dean, and Vice President of the University.
