Dr. Fadia Tashtush is an Environmental Specialist with over 16 years of experience, professional in physical, chemical, and biological analyses for environmental samples and in-situ measurements. She is responsible for the water, soil, and plant laboratories at the Center of Environmental and Biological Studies. She conducts the lab part of the environmental and agricultural courses and assists graduate students and doctors with lab work for their research projects. Her work includes research on crop requirements, land degradation, environmental assessment, pollution, and carbon sequestration, contributing to several published articles in refereed journals. In 2020, her research team won first prize in the Best Research and Studies category of the third edition of the King Hamad Prize for Agricultural Development from the National Initiative for Agricultural Development in Bahrain.
