Bio

Daghustani is an associate professor who holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Glasgow in Autism and Social Justice, and a Master’s in Intellectual Disability and Autism from the Arabian Gulf University. Daghustani’s research focuses on vulnerable populations, research ethics and social justice. Her research interests show in her publications and her volunteering work as an advocate for victims of domestic and sexual abuse, in addition to her work with parents and professionals in the field of special education. Daghustani is the author of many papers focusing on autism, intellectual disability and abuse and developed scales to measure sexual behaviour and socio-sexual skills among autistic adolescents. She attended several international conferences and took several workshops including the Oxford Strategic Leadership Programme at the University of Oxford. Daghustani is a board member in an International Journal and reviewed many academic articles in several scientific journals regionally and internationally.
