Dr. Basheer is a consultant family physician and public health professional with work experience of 30 years in the Primary Healthcare Centers and eight years in the private sector in Bahrain; and who achieved an excellent doctor/patient relationship as per the principles and ethics of Family Medicine. He Joined the Arabian Gulf University in 1988 as a faculty member in the Department of Family and Community Medicine and since then has been participating in the teaching of undergraduate students, and supervising year 3 students in their community health research. Dr. Basheer's teaching experience extended to training Family Medicine Residents at the Ministry of Health in Bahrain for several years. As of 2020, he has been coordinating a post graduate training program at the Arabian Gulf University overseeing the training of post graduate Doctors preparing them to become specialized family physicians.
