INTRODUCTION

The Animal House Research Facility is a unique, state-of-the-art unit and the only specialized facility of its kind in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It plays a pivotal role in advancing experimental medical research by providing a controlled, ethical, and scientifically rigorous environment for preclinical studies. Purpose The facility is dedicated to training and qualifying students, researchers, and healthcare professionals across the region in the essential technical skills and ethical principles required for conducting animal-based experimental research. It supports a wide range of preclinical medical investigations, including advanced studies in disease mechanisms, drug development, and genetic engineering aimed at innovative therapeutic interventions.
