The Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit at Arabian Gulf University (AGU) in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Student Council, will organise an awareness event titled "Student Voice" tomorrow morning, aiming to enhance awareness of the importance of quality and to reinforce its principles within the university environment.

The initiative seeks to foster a culture of quality, and boost awareness regarding the significance of academic accreditation and strategic planning, encouraging student participation in developing and strengthening the university’s quality system. The event features six interactive pavilions, organised in partnership with the Student Council, which will highlight key concepts related to quality, accreditation, and strategic planning through engaging discussions and idea exchanges.

Endeavours in institutional excellence and continuous improvement will be showcased, reflecting the university’s commitment to enhancing educational quality and academic services. Additionally, the event will highlight the university’s approach to strengthening partnerships with students to shape development initiatives and establish sustainable quality principles at all academic and administrative levels.

Dr Ghazi Abdulrahman Alotaibi, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Scientific Research at AGU, stated, "We believe students are vital partners in the quality process. Through Student Voice, we aim to open communication channels that allow students to share their opinions and suggestions, actively contributing to the enhancement of academic and administrative performance." He affirmed that cultivating a culture of quality begins with engaging everyone, especially students, in shaping the future of university education.

Dr Aseel Al Saleh, Dean of Student Affairs, highlighted the importance of involving students in quality initiatives affecting their academic journey. She commented, "This event reflects the university’s keenness to to strengthen students’ pivotal role in decision-making and its ongoing efforts to empower them by creating an environment that encourages critical thinking, participation, and contribution to improving the quality of university life in all its aspects."

Professor Khabab Abdelmoneim, Supervisor of the Quality Unit explained, "This event embodies the university’s commitment to quality principles, particularly stakeholder engagement and customer focus, as students are active partners in developing the quality system and achieving institutional excellence." He added, "Engaging stakeholders is fundamental to improving educational quality and promoting good governance. This event is a stepping stone for future initiatives, including quality seminars, regular meetings between students and university leadership, and training workshops aimed at instilling a culture of quality and accountability while supporting continuous improvement across academic programs and institutional services."

He affirmed that this initiative comes under the direct guidance of university leadership, including His Excellency the University President and His Excellency the Vice President, as part of the strategic vision to foster a culture of quality and strengthen constructive communication channels with students who are key partners in advancing the educational process. He also commended the spirit of cooperation and teamwork, noting that "Student Voice" is not a standalone event but a reflection of the ongoing initiatives and practices across colleges and departments dedicated to quality, development, and continuous improvement in pursuit of institutional excellence and sustainable quality.
