
PhD Researcher at the Arabian Gulf University Participates in the Open and Interactive Innovation Conference at Harvard Business School, Boston

Mr.Mohammed Rashid Al-Bous, a PhD researcher in Technology and Innovation Management at the College of Education, Administrative and Technical Sciences at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), has recently participated in the Open and Interactive Innovation Conference held at Harvard Business School, Boston.
Mr. Al Bous, who is supported by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), seized the opportunity to engage in this prestigious event, which gathered prominent experts from the fields of innovation, research and emerging technologies. The conference emphasised the exploration of the latest developments and best practices in innovation, alongside discussions on valuable research and insights regarding user-based innovation, and the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in both research and industrial applications.
At the conference, Mr. Al Bous presented his research titled “AI Governance of in the GCC States: A Multifaceted Landscape with Shared Aspirations.” His presentation sparked valuable feedback that will enhance the dissemination of his research findings.
Reflecting on his experience, Mr. Al Bous stated: “My participation in the conference yielded significant research contributions in the domain of AI governance. This reflects the scientific role of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences and its commitment to supporting scientific research and innovation, promoting a knowledge-based society in Kuwait. Among the anticipated contributions from my paper is the exploration of an often-overlooked area of AI policy frameworks within the GCC countries, which includes a review and comparison of the current AI laws and regulations across the six Gulf nations, highlighting their similarities and differences while providing practical suggestions to policymakers to improve AI governance in the region, particularly focusing on ethical frameworks that align with international standards to mitigate risks.”
He added: “The insights I acquired will undoubtedly enhance my research and aid in its publication in a prestigious scientific journal. This will benefit decision-makers and researchers from the GCC countries and the Arab world, as well as anyone interested in this promising field.”
