Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain: Medical Graduates are a Pillar to Kuwait's Health Sector

Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain, extended his congratulations to the Kuwaiti graduates from the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences at Arabian Gulf University (AGU) on Tuesday. He affirmed that these graduates constitute a vital pillar to strengthening Kuwait’s healthcare sector.

In remarks to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) following the ceremony which graduated 61 Kuwaiti students, Sheikh Thamer Al-Sabah stated that Kuwait’s health system heavily relies on them to support the ongoing development of its healthcare services.

He added that these graduates are the future generation, builders of the present, and the hope of the nation. He urged them to continue striving for excellence in their humanitarian endeavours, thereby elevating Kuwait’s global reputation.

"Today, we celebrate doctors taking their first steps in humanitarian service,” remarked Sheikh Thamer Al-Sabah, acknowledging their diligent efforts during years of study, culminating in the attainment of a degree requiring dedication and compassion. He also commended Bahrain’s supportive and welcoming environment for Kuwaiti students, as well as the efforts of AGU under the presidency of Dr Saad Al Fuhaid.

He also commended the Kuwaiti Cultural Office in Bahrain, led by Dr Mohammed Al-Daghim, for its role in supporting students and fostering a conducive educational environment.

For his part, the Head of the Kuwaiti Cultural Office in Bahrain congratulated the graduates, praising their academic dedication and exemplary performance. He also acknowledged the ongoing collaboration with AGU to ensure the provision of a supportive educational atmosphere.

The graduation ceremony concluded last Sunday amid a significant academic presence. Notably, student Rashid Al-Asousi ranked second in his class.

The event was attended by Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the GCC, Lieutenant General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Bahrain Supreme Council of Health, Dr Mohammed Juma, Bahrain Minister of Education, Lamia Al-Mulhim, Acting Undersecretary of Kuwait’s Ministry of Higher Education, alongside parents, faculty members, and university officials.
