First Bahraini Female Doctor to Receive this Prestigious Award: Dr Shaimaa Al Nashaba Receives “Early Career Forum” Award from the American Endocrine Society

Dr Shaimaa Al Nashaba, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Obesity Consultant, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), has been recently awarded the “Early Career Forum” prize by the American Endocrine Society. This achievement marks her as the first Bahraini female doctor to receive such a prestigious accolade, representing a significant medical and scientific milestone.  

The Early Career Forum is one of the prominent initiatives organised by the American Endocrine Society to support doctors and researchers at the early stages of their careers. This award is granted to those who have distinguished themselves in the fields of endocrinology, diabetes and obesity, in recognition of their promising scientific and research accomplishments.  

Expressing her delight at this recognition, Dr Al Nashaba affirmed that this achievement reflects the advanced position of Bahraini medical professionals in international scientific platforms and enhances the role of Bahraini doctors in contributing to the development of the fields of endocrinology and diabetes on a global scale.
