Ms. Fatima Al Hajari, Senior Media Specialist at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), was honoured yesterday at a ceremony patronised by Her Excellency Pilot Officer Shaikha Aisha bint Rashid Al Khalifa in celebration of Bahraini Women’s Day. This recognition acknowledges Ms. Al Hajari’s significant contributions to the fields of journalism, media, and corporate communication, as well as her successful efforts in reporting on academic and social developments pertinent to the Bahraini community.

The ceremony, organised by the Ajyal Group at the Nayyara Bahrain Hall on Amwaj Island in Muharraq Governorate, also celebrated 50 distinguished women in Bahraini society who are partners in community contribution and have made notable and impactful contributions to the nation’s development across various fields and sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

In a statement following the ceremony, Ms. Al Hajari expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the organisers of the event. She emphasised that this beautiful gesture in recognising Bahraini women in various fields of work is a testament to the continuous support for empowering women in Bahrain. She hoped that this recognition would motivate her and her fellow honourees to achieve further excellence and innovation in media and community work, and for Bahraini women to continue to succeed on all fronts.

Notably, Ms. Al Hajari is one of the prominent figures with extensive media expertise in the Kingdom of Bahrain. She represents a living example of a Bahraini woman who has carved a successful professional narrative within the realms of journalism, television and university media. She commenced her professional journey early in life, distinguished by her passion for journalistic writing and her ability to practice media work comprehensively and effectively, both locally and in the Gulf region.

Ms. Al Hajari, who holds a Master’s degree in Media, has worked for several local newspapers, including Al Ayam, Al Wasat, Al Watan, and Aswaq. She has made her mark in crafting news stories, reports, and investigative journalism addressing issues related to women, family, education, and human rights, consistently striving to shed light on vital community concerns in a balanced and profound manner. This dedication has established her as one of the prominent names in contemporary Bahraini journalism.

Moreover, her professional interests have formed a core aspect of her media career. Through her journalistic and media work, Ms. Al Hajari’s contributions extend beyond journalism and university media; she has also focused on qualifying and training a new generation of journalists and media professionals in Bahrain and the Gulf region through workshops and training courses she has organised.
