The Director of the IT and Cybersecurity Centre at Arabian Gulf University (AGU), Mr Nawaf Abdulrahman, has been honoured with the Iconic CIO Middle East 2025 for the second consecutive year. The award was presented during a ceremony organised by CXO Capital, Dubai. This event celebrates outstanding Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and digital leaders who demonstrate innovation and excellence in information technology and digital leadership within the Middle East’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) landscape.

On this occasion, Nawaf Abdulrahman stated, "It is a great honour to be selected as one of the top CIOs in the Middle East. This achievement reflects the successful execution of several large-scale and complex digital transformation projects at the university. I am deeply grateful to my dedicated team, whose hard work and commitment were instrumental in this accomplishment. I commend their professionalism and continued inspiration."

The ceremony was attended by CIOs from across the Middle East, distinguished by their visionary leadership and expertise in navigating technological change, leveraging innovation and strategic initiatives to drive business transformation and growth.

The winners were selected through an algorithm that analysed extensive data collected from multiple channels, considering various factors and criteria to ensure a comprehensive evaluation process.
