
Arabian Gulf University Signs MoU with the University of Tabuk to Bolster Research, Academic and Training Collaboration

His Excellency Dr Saad bin Saud Al Fuhaid, President of the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dr Abdulaziz bin Salem Al Ghamdi, President of the University of Tabuk (UT) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aimed at bolstering their collaborative efforts across research, academic and training domains.
The MoU encompasses the enhancement of cooperation in joint scientific research, the exchange of academic expertise and the development of training programmes targeting students and researchers from both institutions. Furthermore, it includes initiatives for joint training programmes, workshops and scientific conferences, all contributing to the advancement of academic and research capacities.
Moreover, the MoU is designed to outline frameworks and areas of mutual interest for collaboration between the two parties, as well as mechanisms for establishing sustainable strategic partnerships in research, academics and training, in order to achieve the desired objectives efficiently and effectively.
The President of UT expressed his pleasure at the signing of this memorandum, describing it as a significant step towards strengthening cooperation between two of the leading academic institutions in the GCC region.
He stated on this occasion: “This agreement reflects the University of Tabuk’s commitment to enhancing partnerships with prestigious Gulf universities and to opening new horizons in the fields of research and lifelong education.”
In turn, the President of AGU emphasised the importance of this collaboration in elevating the level of academic and research exchange among Gulf universities. He further noted: “Collaboration with the University of Tabuk will enhance both institutions’ abilities to provide innovative solutions to the academic and training challenges facing the region.”
It is noteworthy that both universities enjoy a distinguished academic reputation and have numerous joint research programmes focused on knowledge development across various academic fields, reflecting their commitment to delivering outstanding education and keeping pace with the latest scientific advancements in the region.
