Second-year students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Arabian Gulf University (AGU) achieved first place in the fifth edition of the Nursing Olympiad, hosted by King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in Saudi Arabia, surpassing teams from 21 Gulf universities.

The achievement reflects the academic excellence of AGU’s Nursing Department at the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences and highlights the students’ ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with clinical simulation while applying the highest standards of healthcare practice. It also aligns with the shared objectives of Gulf universities to advance education and support the visions of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The Nursing Olympiad is designed to enhance students’ practical skills and prepare future nursing professionals through realistic healthcare scenarios, including wound care and medication administration using advanced simulation technologies. The event also serves as a platform to strengthen academic and professional collaboration among Gulf institutions.

Dr. Hawazen Al Rawas, Head of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program at AGU, expressed her pride in the students’ outstanding performance, noting that the competition provided a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange and teamwork among Gulf nursing students. She emphasized that such initiatives contribute to building highly qualified graduates who are well prepared for the healthcare sector.
