
AGU Medical Student Zainab Al Sayed Shubber Participates in the Global Women’s Forum in Dubai

Ms. Zainab Al Sayed Shubber, a student at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) and a member of the Bahraini Youth Ambassadors Programme, participated in the Global Women's Forum Dubai held in Jumeirah, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The event was organised by the Dubai Foundation for Women and featured a distinguished group of influential figures in the fields of creativity, arts, law, and media, along with celebrities, influencers, leaders, and officials focused on women's empowerment and gender balance. It showcased insights from the participants’ personal experiences and their vision for enhancing women's roles and overcoming the challenges they face.

Ms. Zainab Al Sayed Shubber shared her experience as a member of the Bahraini Youth Ambassadors Programme during the main session of the forum. She also participated in various workshops held concurrently with the forum, where she learned about success stories from young leaders from different countries around the world. She exchanged views with her peers, reflecting the high capabilities and significant skills that Bahraini youth possess in areas such as dialogue and learning from successful experiences to develop their skills and abilities.
In this context, she emphasised the importance of empowering women in various sectors such as medicine, media, and the arts, expressing her support for women in various social issues and humanitarian and charitable activities. She affirmed the national benefits of empowering women and their assumption of leadership positions across different fields and specialties.
It is noteworthy that Ms. Zainab Al Sayed Shubber is studying medicine at the AGU. She won second place in the Arabic Language Debates at the level of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Yemen, fourth place in the Reading Challenge, and first place in several poetry competitions. She also qualified at the level of the Kingdom of Bahrain for the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance, and she holds professional certificates in various fields.

The Global Women's Forum, in its third edition, was held under the theme "The Power of Influence," with the participation of over 3,000 people from around the world. The forum addressed numerous issues and topics related to the realities and future of women, through more than 130 discussion sessions and workshops organised over two days.
More than 250 prominent figures, officials, inspiring leaders, and influencers from 65 countries spoke at the event, alongside representatives from international organisations and a distinguished group of youth and leading female entrepreneurs. The discussions focused on three main themes: the economy of the future, future societies, and shared efforts and responsibilities, along with impactful technology and innovations.
