
Academic at the Arabian Gulf University Achieves 19th Position Among 311,000 Researchers in ARCIF Database for 2024

Professor Dr Abdelnasser Diab Al Jarrah, a member of the Special Education Department in the Gifted Education Programme at the College of Education, Administrative and Technical Sciences at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), has secured the 19th position in the H-index in the field of Educational Sciences. His H-index stands at 7, with his works cited by over 311,000 Arab researchers, as part of a study reviewing references on a regional level involving a total of 20,800 authors. Their works were published in articles or studies featured in Arabic scientific journals, according to the 2024 Arab Citation and Impact Factor (ARCIF) reports.
It is noteworthy that Dr Al Jarrah has achieved ranks of 37, 33 and 13 in previous years among all researchers. The ARCIF is one of the initiatives of the “Marefa” database for scientific production and is overseen by the “Supervision and Coordination Council,” which comprises representatives from various Arab and international entities such as the UNESCO Regional Office for Education in the Arab States in Beirut, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Marefa Database, the Gulf Chapter of the Special Libraries Association, as well as a scientific committee of esteemed experts and academics from several Arab countries and the United Kingdom.
